Of the top ten places listed, most of the nurses we’ve met prefer going to California because they already have relatives there or Texas.  California has a higher of of living index (143.9) than Texas (88.1).  This is like saying it’s cheaper to leave in Baguio than in Manila.  One common denominator though that we see is that the demand for nurses for USA will remain very high in the next coming years.  Now, that’s probably stating the obvious but at least there’s a study to now support this statement.

This is a very interesting survey…….. thanks for the information. Although, another alternative for the americans, especially those without insurance coverage, is to opt for treatment outside their home country (Medical Tourism) which is the newest trend to have an excellent treatment at an affordable cost in countries like The Philippines, Thailand, Singapore, Malaysia and India.

Anyway, that was just my thoughts 🙂

Cheers;
Liza
